It began 5 years ago: Awardwinning drummer and composer Claudio Scolari was working on his critically acclaimed CD, “Dreams and Emotions of the city”. During this period he discovered Daniele Cavalca who was working on a new album with his rock band. After several meetings and musical discussions, a deep musical feeling began to develop between them.In the summer of 2008 Claudio proposed to Daniele to work on a new project, inspired by the musical style introduced by Claudio; a completely new musical experiment in which a dialogue is created between two drum sets. Daniele had already experienced working on record sessions in various genres, but when he started recording with Claudio he gained a new and different perspective on music in which he was able to develop and share new musical ideas. They started to develop the work, adding other instruments such as piano, keyboards, percussion and effects which were all played by Claudio, while Daniele played bass, vibraphone and other percussion instruments. For the final touch, they invited Simone Scolari (who’d already played on several of Claudio’s previous records, such as “Reflex” and “Dream and Emotion of the City”), to play trumpet.
